Folds of Honor Scholarship Recipient, Destiny Duerson, is attending Howard University and majoring in biology. Her goal is to have a career in forensic DNA analysis. She is the daughter of Army Sergeant Marc Duerson.
Destiny shares, “I found out about Folds of Honor scholarships on the Howard University military student services website. I love the students and the education I'm receiving here. Howard has taught me what it means to be mature, accountable, and open-minded. However, my current financial need is significant. Although I received a merit scholarship, unfortunately, it is not enough. Thank you, Folds of Honor, for providing me with additional funds to continue attending one of the top HBCUs in the country and for recognizing my father's military service. Thank you for believing in me and my future.”

In February, we celebrate and recognize Black History Month! Rollin attends Morehouse College and he is studying Political Science. He is the son of Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel Rollin Jackson.
Rollin shares, “I chose to attend Morehouse College during my senior year of high school because of the immense history behind the school and the experience that I knew I would have being at an HBCU. Being able to follow in the footsteps of greats like: Martin Luther King Jr., Spike Lee, Samuel L. Jackson, and many more distinguished alumni of Morehouse, also instilled in me a drive to keep succeeding in life.”
