Today is World Social Work Day! You can help provide the opportunity for students like Sherrita to make a difference by joining our Squadron for only $13 a month.
Folds of Honor Scholarship Recipient, Sherrita Smikle, is attending the University of Louisville and majoring in Social Work. Sherrita shares her goals, “My dream job is to work for Veterans Affairs in the counseling department. I want to be able to help service members and their families with any crisis they may be enduring. The child that has no friends because they are constantly moving, the wife or husband that has to deal with loneliness, or a family trying to overcome an obstacle.”
Join our Squadron at foh.org/squadron and help change the lives of our military service member and first responder families.
Folds of Honor was founded on the tenets of faith, honor, and hope. It’s been our privilege to serve our military and first responder families and say, “We have you, and we’re going to move forward with you.” To see that support come to life and make a real difference for these families who have sacrificed so much is the ultimate gift and reminder that we are to be God’s hands and feet here on earth.
Senior VP of Outreach Luke Sherman and Rachel Faulkner Brown of the speaker’s bureau are on the Jesus Calling by Sarah Young Podcast, sharing the story behind the organization, their impactful stories of how they got involved with Folds of Honor, and what it means to them to lend a helping hand to those who need it most.
Happy Pi Day! You can help make a math major student’s dream come true by joining our Squadron for only $13 a month!
Your membership will meet sacrifice with hope for students like Hannah Turner a Folds of Honor Higher Education Scholarship Recipient. She is the daughter of Army Specialist Grace T. Awokoya. The scholarship she received has enabled her to pursue her dream of being in pharmacological development. She is working towards this by majoring in mathematics at Western Kentucky University. Thanks to our Squadron members, she can focus on her education rather than the burden of paying for it.
